Short stories

Mike had always wanted to climb a mountain, to feel the success of it. So on New Years, he made a list of places to go and climb. He was sort of a bucket list but of places he was going to succeed to climb. His list consist of Castlewood State Park, Rocky Mountain State Park, Garden of Gods, and Black Canyon State Park. Once he was done with this list, hopefully by the end of a couple of months, he was going to make another list, but of harder mountains to climb.
He got to work.  He researched online about safety, and what he would need. He made a list of stuff he needed and set foot to Scheels. Once he had everything he packed his car and double-checked to make sure he had everything. Once at the first mountain, he started to regrets. He started to doubt himself, but then he pushed through and started climbing. He felt amazing. After a couple of hours of climbing he was finally almost to the top. As he approached the top of the mountain he raised his hands in victory!

I looked in the mirror and noticed my hair was getting longer. I usually like it short so I decided to go get it cut. At that moment my phone rang, it was my friends wanting to know if I wanted to go out with them tonight. Obviously, I said yes, who would say no to a girls night?! An idea hit me, I could go to the salon to get a mani and pedi for tonight! When I sat in the chair, a lady came over. I asked where my usual girl was, and she said t hat she was sick today so she was taking all of her clients. I wasn’t usually worried about other girls doing my hair, because I assumed they were all professionals.
Finally my hair was done and I had asked the lady to do my eyebrows too. I looked in the mirror and I was horrified. My hair was at my shoulders, it was at my ears, it was all choppy. Also, one of eyebrows had been plucked to much, that it looked like I had two strands of hair above my eyes. I demanded to speak to the manager. The manager gasped, I was so mad that I’m sure that steam was coming out of my ears. I yelled at him and asked what he was thinking to allow a girl that wasn’t a professional to cut my hair?! He said I didn’t have to pay for anything, I obviously wasn’t going to! He had offered to have another girl try and fix my hair, I said no and stormed out. I found a cute hat, and it looked perfect so you couldn’t see my horrible hair. I was on my way to the salon to get a mani and pedi, and decided against it, I don’t feel like people screwing up my nails. I could do it myself.
